All I can say is, I am jolly glad here in Essex, we don't have the cold and snow that Eileen is currently suffering with. Once again, we have no central heating, and with it being Easter weekend, although they did come out Saturday and order the part, they won't be here until tomorrow afternoon. bbbr, it is darn cold in our house at the moment. This is the second visit. Firstly, 2 weeks ago, no heating, so out the gas board came, fixed an apparent loose wire, and away they went. No probs, until Good Friday, then no heating again. Now, I must say, our British Gas insurance is good, because sure enough, Saturday afternoon, an engineer arrived. He decided the fan and motor were on their last legs, so ordered a new one. All being well, we will be warm and toasty again tomorrow afternoon. Oh well, at least we are getting our monies worth from the insurance policy, but boy oh boy it is cold. Hot water bottles for me tonight.

Oh, dear, EJ. I'm glad you've got hot water bottles at least. I hope your weather will be nice and warm tomorrow, and that the parts have arrived.

I hope the gales don't reach down to Essex EJ as they make everywhere seem even colder than it actually is. We have no water at the moment and therefore no heating either. Nothing to do with the Gas Board though I'm happy to say. We're having to replace our kitchen sink as the other one cracked.
Hopefully, by tomorrow, we should both be lovely and warm again. :-D

My goodness, both of you with no heat. How inconvenient and uncomfortable. I hope both repairs are done quickly so you can warm up again. Sending warm thoughts in both directions!

Well, thanks to Tony at British Gas, we now have heating again. A new fan, motor and wiring system, all done. Fingers crossed we have no more problems. I have the hot water on so I can have a lovely bubbly bath later. :) How's about you Eileen? Back to normal yet??

Not yet EJ. :( Got to wait for Ian coming home to finish fitting the sink in the kitchen. Hopefully, tomorrow I'll have my heating and water back though.
