Has anyone tried drying seeds in oven? I just read about it (140*) is all it said and I want to try. I dry herbs this way and it works well, but not sure about seeds.

I would be afraid that I cooked the seed germ to death to do it this way. Most likely it is for the chance that there is bacteria, virus or mold on the seed shell and those you don't want to contaminate your seedlings with.

I'm with Carolyn on this. I think you will cook the life out of your seeds.

I wouldn't trust my oven with any seeds. Except sunflower and pumpkin seeds. With some salt added :)
