It looks familiar to me.My friend starts a lot of more unusual things from seeds.Sometimes I dump used soil in a pot & it gets mixed in with other potting soil.Maybe a seed finally popped with all the spring rain.
My cousin just told me it looked like a weed. This will "bug" me until I find outLOL

Hard to tell the size of it, but it kind of reminds me of the Barberry seedlings I always remove from one of the gardens at work. They are usually very small ... what size is that pot?

I was thinking Talinum paniculatum (Jewels of Opar) too. I planted one several years ago and they pop up in several places every year. I really like them so I either leave them alone or gather them together in groups around the garden or in pots.

Actually,I had more or less confirmed that it was Jewels Of Opar before I went to bed last night.
I doubt there have been any plants of this around here for miles. Seed must have been in a nursery pot that came here.
I was considering getting seeds for the chartreuse talinum.Just forgot.Last night I googled a very good image of limon talinum .I really like this plant.Always looking for something to go with purple.
