I went out side yesterday to see the progress on the new seedlings I have just planted. As I expected...nothing yet at all. So we have had some showers over night and early morning and would you believe my zucchini, corn, green beans and 5 out of eight herbs are standing tall about 1/2 inch!!! I'm so happy can't wait for the rest to start showing!

It still amazes me, after nearly 35 years of gardening, to see those very first shoots pushing their way out of the soil. I'm so pleased for you and hope they all keep growing stongly and healthily. :stew2:

Congrats, NG. Nature is surprizing sometimes, isn´t it. This is just the beginning I reckon...next thing you know they will be bearing veg.
    This is great news.

Doesn't it just renew your energies to see that?! Yay! Very reassuring to me to see the ongoing cycle of growth in the garden.

Well out of my 36 corn plants that are 2-3 inches tall now, 9 of them got either ripped up or eaten by some night time critter. Not sure what it was but the only thing it went after was the corn.
