Wow my head is spinning from reading all those Latin names. They are Greek to me Cal you really have a lot of seeds to share. I will have to check out the links for pic's of the plants when I have more time. What growing zone are you in?
I hate to throw a wet towel on this plan but please read the information at this site concerning the permits needed to import seeds to the U.S. There are also restrictions concerning what the USDA has determined to be invasive and noxious plants. And some plants are restricted because they are endangered or on a protection list. Other countries have their own import/export restrictions also. And in the U.S. there are several states that have restrictions concerning seeds/plants even from/to other states.
Tooty... zone 6-7? freezing temps in winter of -15 C. that's 5 F I think. And snow. Latin names are always the best, there is no two plants with the same name (or is there?) Thanks, Toni... I know about the restrictions...but maybe there are others from Europe or other parts of the world interested in trading
Cal--I am blown away! Do you grow all those plants? Wow! You have introduced me to some plants I have never seen before, such as Edraianthus tenuifolius. How about posting some photos of your garden? Or perhaps you have already and I have missed them.
Cal I was sure you knew about restrictions for your country since you have been gardening a while and have done swaps before. But it was a warning to other members, no matter where they live, that swapping seeds across national bounderies can be problematic so they need to find out what the regulations in their country are.
Yes Toni, I know and vigilence is appreciated. Lots of bad and irreversible things have been done by us, people. Even myself, sometimes I find something "cute" by the road, I take some home and then I try to get rid of it! Cayuga... I HAVE BEEN posting pics. I tend to focus more on actual blooms, but you can have an idea. Here's what's been blooming for me in 2011 http://home-and-garden.webshots.com/alb ... 3390akYmiU Here's the link to all the albums, but I doubt you got the required patience! http://community.webshots.com/user/calinromania
