This is another corner of the sundeck. The open area in the back, showing whitish boards and angled uprights is because we had a huge tree removed this week and a branch dropped on it, it is to keep the deer out. You will see part of the tree (on the right) of the picture with the pileated birds on. The small branch on the right in that picture is what the hummer is perched on. Watch out for part three.

Three pileated woodpeckers in the same picture!! You bribed the woodpeckers to sit for the picture, right? And you made it too easy for the hummer, they are suppose to flap vigorously for their dinner. :) No wonder you have so many birds. Great pictures, fantastic setup.

Gosh I've only ever had two woodpeckers visiting my feeders at any one time. What a great shot. The birds must think your garden is a little bit of paradise. :-D

We get a couple of woodpeckers quite often, mainly two flickers. Yesterday we had a flicker and a new one, the female Hairy woodpecker. The downies seem to play turns, the female then the male.

We say "why buy a bird and put it in a cage when you can have so many different species".
