I live right on the San Jacinto River. This morning, I was leaving for work as usual and caught a glimpse of something(s) floating down the river. So I stopped the truck, grabbed the camera and ran up to the bank.
    Pelicans! Just floating merrily along!
Sure wish I could have gotten closer... or at least have a better zoom on my camera.
    Cool to see, nonetheless.

That is a really cool picture. Never thought about them just floating along like that, you usually think of them hanging around a dock looking for food.

I've lived here for 7 years. We'll see one or two flying around... but never saw them like this. At first, I thought it was some junk/trash!

I've only ever seen pelicans in zoos or on the TV. How cool it would be to actually see them in the wild. I think you managed to get a great shot of them Cheryl and I'm so glad you shared them with us. :-D

Nice photo, well caught. :D I've only seen wild pelicans in Greece. Well, one pelican. They're big birds.
