Wow Doris! how do you keep up with the watering? it all looks so nice. I have only a few containers, I don't have time to get to them as I should  Too much watering, weeding and picking going on in the garden.

Awesome! If this is how it looks during a drought and heat... I can't wait to see everything during a good year!
Of course I love the Daylilies (some of the names just crack me up). And how do you get and keep your Petunias looking so full?
Great job on keeping everything looking so healthy and lush.

After all these years it should look good. One secret to containers is use the moisture crystals, use large pots, tubs & mulch.Having a helper doesn't hurt, either.A lot of these are on south side of greenhouse that gets lot's of reflected heat.I imagine the metal tubs heat up
too.Even so,we have no trouble keeping containers moist.
In ground is a different story.I know we wouldn't have cucumbers this year if they were in ground. Our sweetcorn died.Had only 1 mess of green beans.Spider mites all over beans. This way in farm fields, too.Tomatoes are very good.Just started watering them 10 days ago.Never had to water tomatoes before this year.

It is not like we run around with hose all day LOL
THere are a lot of weeds but we simply can't be in this extreme(for here) heat.

Cherylad,I don't know any secret to getting petunias to look full.I never think mine look as full as some.I use timed release fertilizer.I would water w Miracle Grow but don't like to fertilize while it is soo hot.And when I do use fertilizer it is like half strength. Also I don't have the energy to run around w a watering can in this heat. Just grab the hose & getter done!Oh,I cut petunias back a lot. They are due for a trim.
About daylily names,it cracks me up,too. The 1 breeder,Curt Hanson(Women Seeking Men),uses sorta suggestive names. This is to attract attention & makes you remember.

Stunning. Jester's Robe & Shores Of Time were new to me. Love them!! If we had a sort of garden of the month (GOTM) competition around, you'd bag them thrice in a row!*bow down* Your cascading petunias are so soothing to the eyes! I could learn a thing or two from you!

Very pretty. Love them all and yes Go see just how much rain we got last night. Not as much as we need. Right now only green in lawn is the crab grass.
