This is what we found this morning as we were checking the Garden. I am glad I took these Pics because about 10 minutes later the Bee's had left. I guess they had just found the Tree and rested overnight and went on there way to a more permanent place to start a new Hive.I was about 1 ft away from them and they did not bother me, it was so cool.

Thats cool, and at the same time, kinda disturbing *lol* I always get the shudders when I see a bunch of bees in one place (like the plastic bee hive at the local nature center) ...hehe

I've never seen a bee swarm outside like that, so I find your photo fascinating. :)

Very cool. I wonder what kind of bees they are?

The bees swarm like that frequently in the spring and summer. They might return having found a good place to hang out there and sometimes the swarm just keeps getting larger.
If they do come back you can call a beekeeper about coming to get them.

Don't think I'd have gotten that close!
    Cool photo though.

You did what I did last year when bees swarmed in my apple tree. They didn't bother me in the least even when I had the camera lens almost on top of them. Fascinating creatures aren't they? However, if they had been wasps ..... well I would have hightailed it in the other direction without a second thought.

A few years ago we had a swarm of bees on a street light in our town, right on the town square. It was so large the light totally disapeared. They had a pic in the local paper of it.

Cool! We had a swarm land on our Maple tree a few years back. They didn't stay too long though.

I am sure they were honey bee's. I stayed still for a few moments close by and they didnt get angry so i clicked away. I love Bee's in my garden, they pollinate my fruit tree's and I make Pie and Jam and preserve them.

    Thanks for sharing that.
Neat photo and I didn't know bees went anywhere as a group besides their hive.

Great photo of them...Now I wouldn't let my husband any where close to that grouping....he is allergic if he is stung..they are fascinating to watch and my neighbor has some honey bees that she is raising in her backyard....next time I go past her home I will have to check to see if she still has them. I don't wear any perfumes, body washes when I garden so I haven't been bothered for years. Hair spray can be a bad thing too.
