Shasta Daisies or Weeds?

    One year an individual told me he had weeds that looked like Shasta Daisies. He inquired if he should pull the weeds. I thought that with "weeds" being described as Shasta Daisy leaves something was too accurate. I told him not to pull anything. Eventually I looked at the "weeds". They were Shasta Daisies.

    yep, weeds. not allowed to grow them here. they are invasive.

    Leucanthemum vulgare (oxeye daisy) is the wild growing one on most invasive lists. But the Leucanthemum × superbum (Shasta Daisy) is a developed garden perennial.
