I do believe these are shasta daisy sprouts, they look strange but there is greenery showing. If that is what I think it is, I will be happy, I did not think it would come back. There is some greenery in my Hostas but it is hard to get that close and not be blurry.

I have a question, I have a Iris coming up that is not very tall at all, it is only about 2 inches tall. Here is the question, could I dig that up and put it in a pot and it survive and bloom?

    Hi gardennut--

Your hostas & daisies look great. A suggestion though. The hostas look like they could use a little extra soil over them. It looks like some of the roots got uncovered over the winter.

Re the iris, how come you want to pot it up? I imagine you could pot it up just fine if you are careful about not disturbing the roots too much.

I went out and put some extra potting soil on the hostas, also some on the daisies, I was just thinking about potting the iris up, I had not made up my mind, I think I will just leave it where it is, will be interesting to see what color it is. It will be either that beautiful copper color or purple, either one is gorgeous in my book.

I went to the dollar store with my hubby last night and saw they had a new seed display up, I went around to take a look and my hubby poked his head around and said one word NO. I think he is tired of me starting seeds in the house.
