We went to College Station today. We started at Sam's Club. I didn't like any of their purses and they were out of my price range anyway. We went to Ross For Less and I found three that I liked. I bought a soft black leather purse with a shoulder strap that can be made smaller. It has lots of pockets inside and outside and most of them zip closed so I can't lose stuff. The other two were just as nice but they had too much metal decor on them. My purse gets heavy enough with what I put in them without the two pounds of metal for decoration.
I bought three books off the clearance table at Half Price Books. One is a Sunset garden book for making gardens in small spaces. Some of them look great. We left here at 9 am and got back at 5 pm. We stopped at Sodalak's Steakhouse for lunch. We brought half of it home. It was much to much to eat at one time. Chance had a bit of it with her supper. She thinks she should eat whatever we eat but she has her dog food that she needs to eat for the food value. She gets a doggy vitamin, too. But, she only likes the ones from Walmart. We tried other ones but she would eat them.
Oh, I almost forgot. I also got a dozen big red roses from dr.

When my wife shopped for a pocket book recently, pockets with zippers were high on the like to have list. It has so many pockets and zippers I think things get lost in there. :) I'll bet chance reads the label and knows when you give her a non-Wal-Mart vitamin. Ooooo, Roses they must look pretty. Sounds like your birthday went well.

Dooley, add "Super Shopper" to your many titles! Good going on the books--I adore book stores and wish we had a Half-Price Books near here. Good going on the purse, too. Zippered compartments are a must, and a shoulder strap bag is so handy--leaves both hands free to grab more books!

I need to hire Dooley to do my shopping for me. I dislike shopping. :D I'm glad you managed to find something you liked.
