Roses are beautiful things, but I only have a couple. Here is my favourite one `Westerland´.
...But I would like to see pictures of your favourite rose that you have growing in your garden.

I'm not a rose lover in the general sense. I have given away most of the roses that were here, but I have kept a few and even added to them.

I like the old roses, big, rambling bushes that flower once and smell sooo lovely. I haven't got photos of them all, but here are the ones I remembered to photograph:

This one is called a "carnation rose" because of the roses' resemblance to the carnations:

This one is found all over Norway, especially in old gardens. The scent is heavenly:

This is a "moss rose" called Cardinal de Richelieu. I bought it because I like the moss-ish growth around the buds and the very dark colour:

In addition we've got a lovely, raspberry-scented reddish-orange-yellow thing and a green rose that so far hasn't bloomed for us.

My picture isn't very big. and its from 2006. That would be because I had to move it last year to the front yard, and it never flowered. :( I'll be waiting to see if it flowers this year. It was given to me from a school teacher before we moved.

I know this is probably to many favorites, but I just can't help it. I loveum all, but if I had to do away with all my roses I'd haveta keep these.

Those are all beautiful everyone...but Sjoerd I don't have any in my gardens...I have given up on them..They are a favorite but I wanted to get rid of chemicals in my yard and I had always had so many problems with them at the other homes. Yours are beautiful and I guess I just have to hope my husband buys me some more this year to put in a vase. Lets see more please....

There are more and more pretty roses. The ones in you flower vase count too Sherry! Fingers crossed that new plants will come your way this year.

The Double Delight is an exotically beautiful one, isn't it, CB? It's delightful to see. ;)

Say B... is the name of your rose, "Orange"? It is beautiful, such a delicate colour. Those raindrops make it look like it's crying for the joy of it's own beauty.
