The flower. It is about 1cm (half inch) across

The leaf. It is about 5 cms (2 inches) long and 1cm at the widest.
Whole shrub is about 1 metre tall, flowering now, not scented.
Annoying because I am sure I ought to know it.
    TIA

That is annoying, when you know you know it and can't remember. Aronia?

That is the one. Aronia, probably melanocarpa. Though it could be x prunifolia. I knew that I should know it. We use the berries to make Chokeberry juice to add to Apple puree for a very pleasant pie filling.
    Thank-you.

Glad you remembered. I was ready to go through the whole list of evergreen, spring flowering, scent-less small to medium shrubs. :D
