We got more rain last night and this morning. Which we definately didn't need. But no heavy downpours or wind or tornados like last Mon. But we are in a flood watch and all of the creeks, rivers and ditches are full if not out of bank.
But the Mullberry trees are turning a red color from the sap climbing the trees. The male Goldfinches are turning yellow really fast too.

All our male birds are colouring up nicely for the breeding season too CK. There's not much sign of life in our trees yet though but I'm sure it won't be too long before we see the first leaf buds appearing.

The male woodpeckers are finding hollow limbs to tap on and the house finch has visited its old nesting site.

After almost 2 inches of rain, Fri. night and all day Sat. it finally moved out after dumping an inch of snow. Now they say more rain on Wed. and we could get about another inch.

There is a guy making a boat for the mid-west in anticipation of a flood.....something about cubits and animals. :)

Actually the rain here 1 to 2 inches may reduce the snow cover significantly. The ground, which we have not seen since November may reappear. :smt026
