Has anybody tried Skunk cabbage and/or May apples in a shade garden. I know the Skunk cabbage has an odor if messed with but it is a nice perennial as are the may apples.

I have tried May Apple's in a shade garden. They did (are doing) very well under spruce trees in a garden with Hosta and Trillium. The die back near the end of the summer, though, and leave a big gap.
