There was this very sleepy Red Squirrel, just about to nod off. I believe he sat there for the better part of ½ hour. His friends were keeping an eye on him. Awww it's just a baby!! I presume it's parents were around making sure it was OK. Poor little thing looks all puffed up against the cold. Hope you see it again Tom and that it is fit and healthy.

I love those little red squirrels but haven't seen one since we moved here in 2005. Great pictures ....

What a sweetie! I'd love to have one like that around our house. Mother has them visiting regularly, they're great entertainment.
These are Red Squirrels and they are about 1/3 smaller than the grays and blacks. About the size of a chipmunk. They come to the bird feeded every day, and are lots of fun to watch. They are constantly chasing each other around. In the first picture you see the sleepy one at the base of the feeder, and a second one keeping an eye on him.
