slug control

    Cheap and effective help to control slugs. To keep them off seedlings, spread some hair clippings around. the plants.

    I use crushed egg shells and/or diatomaceous earth.

    We use dog hair. However, at this time of year the birds tend to snaffle it for nesting material.

    Have never heard of using hair - and - with all my gardens I'd be BALD if I tried to set out enough hair to deter the slugs
