Small but interesting Hummingbird Moth...

    I had a nice surprise today when I stepped out my front door and what did I see but a small Hummingbird Moth...if I am correct the picture that matched mine the closest said "Snowbery Clearwing Moth"....

    That's really cute!
    And the plants are great... look really healthy. Everytime I had Asclepias ... hmmm was a bit disappointed. And they were pest magnets!

    Thank you...I think they are so much fun to watch. I tried doing a video but he was just way too fast to try and follow around...almost all of the video was without him.

    Once during a walk around a pond at work and thought I saw 40 to 50 humming birds feeding on nectar of a large patch of pickerel weed. " No," said a friend that was walking with me, "they are hummingbird moths." It was disappointing and interesting at the same time.

    I think it would be so interesting to see that many of these little guys. We had a huge group of dragonflys one time and it was so beautiful. I lost my hummingbird this season so I haven't seen any for a long time here....
