Last year when we totally redid our kitchen, we put an 8 ft shelf along one wall under some hanging cabinets. It was just a white utility shelf. With the white beadboard paneling on the walls, the shelf practically disappeared. So I bought some 1 inch square ceramic tile that matches the back splash above the countertops. Put those on and then trimmed it with left over cabinet trim so it matches the cabinets. Total cost, about $50. Here are a couple of pics. And a closer shot of the tile.
$50 dollars well spent CK as now everything ties in so much better. Great idea and a job well done too. :-D
