Small Tree or Shrub called "Yellowbird"...finally

I started this from seed 2 years ago, and it finally bloomed. All I know is that it is called "Yellowbird" and can either be a large shrub or small tree.
Right now it's probably around 2-3 feet tall. Has multiple woody "stalks". Pretty yellow blooms "on the small side". The leaves are ovate and have a thin yellow "trim" around them.
Any ideas of it's real name?

I don't think it's a Bird of Paradise... the flower clusters just aren't the same. HOWEVER... your suggestion did lead me down the path of on an internet search... of which I think I found it.
    Cassia or Senna pendula
What do you think? I may have to let it grow some more and go to seed... but this is pretty darn close.
    Thoughts?
And thanks GardenPixie for getting me at least one step closer.

What do you think about it being Senna Marilandica (aka Yellow Cassia)?
I found a photo that looks almost identical to mine.
This is so exciting to finally even get close to IDing this plant! :smt026

Thanks Deanna... Hubby's sister gave me the seeds. She rarely knows the "proper names" of plants so I've been waiting and waiting for this one to bloom. I've got it planted in the front of the house in a row of stuff to block the view of my neighbor's junky pasture. So if it gets big... that'll be a good thing! :stew2:
