I have posted pics of my cat in here before, white and usually asleep behind the wood burner. Well he is really very smart. For years at about 7 pm, I brew a pot of decaf coffee and when that's done, I have a small bowl of vanilla ice cream. When I am done, I place the bowl on the floor for him to lick the ice cream dregs.
Now at 5 minutes to 7 he will nudge my leg to let me know its time to make coffee. Then at about 7:10 he nudges me again to let me know its time for ice cream. If I don't eat it fast enough he nudges me some more! Who said you can't train a cat? :)

One of my cats has trained me to fetch a blanket and sit in the good chair. He rewards me by sitting on my lap so I can stroke him and hear him purr.

Cats are amazing! Ours tries to persuade you to take a nap with her on the "Big Bed" That's our king size bed with the special "Nap Blanket". I never thought I'd have such spoiled animals :D I'm glad to know I'm not the only one!

I'm sure I once read that people train dogs, cats train people. :)

I can sure believe that...I can just picture the cat doing that..I knew a cat (a relatives) that would fetch a crinkled paper from the outside of cigarettes after he threw it...he always brought it back to him...I have never seen that before..He was one that used to sit a potato chip on the dogs nose and make him sit there for a while before the dog could eat it...that was so comical.
