This is what the girls have been up to today:

The funny-looking contraption in the middle is where we'll put a candle this evening. I asked for both snowman and snow candle houses, but I didn't think about both in one. :D

I think I'll nip out front and build some lanterns myself later.

How cute Droopy! My kids made several snowmen on the weekend but I didn't get time to take pictures. They built them so they could "beat them up" !!

Thanks Netty. It's this winter's first snowman, and I guess it might be the last one too. We ended up with approx. 20 cm / 8 inches of snow, but now temps are up, we've got wind and we can hear it melting. So sorry you didn't get a chance to photograph your snow men. I'd have liked to see them.

It's been a long time since we had enough snow here in Scotland to make a snowman. :( Still at least I get to see yours Droopy without getting frozen fingers making one!!! :D

What a snaomah...that brings back some distant menories. I've never seen or thought of building one that could have a candle house in it's chest. This sounds NEAT!... Why don't you post a piccy? Maybe you could take one this evening. :-D
    That snowman has charm.

He is now equipped with a candle inside. The cats didn't like my spending so much time with that cold, stiff fellow. Lord likes to chase snow balls. Snuske likes to watch.

    "Where's my snowball?"

Snuske doesn't like cold and wet:

Here's the chap with the light inside:

Temps are so high now, he'll probably be an abstract sculpure in the morning.

You're welcome. I find the snowman with a warm heart quite poetic. If we've still got snow tomorrow, I'll ask the girls nicely to make me some snow lanterns. They're pretty with candles inside. I didn't get time this evening.

I have never seen anything like your snowman with the glowing chest. What a novel idea! Beautiful kitty cat also.

Thank you. It wasn't my idea SoJ, the girls thought it up all by themselves.

Wow - I am in awe.
This is totally new for me. Thanks for posting these pictures of your snowman - lights and all. Lovely.
THis is the first time ever that I see a snowman with a heart of gold.
