Oh, your Snowdrop Woods is so pretty.
I had Snowdrops but they didn't come back the third spring. Now I am thinking I need to get more and have a woods too.

That is toooo perfect! :-D I've always wanted to have some spring bulbs naturalized like that. I've never been able to create it though.

The snow drops are wonderful. Did you plant them? How long have they been there?

    Lovely, Mr P.
They look mighty good this time of year.
I have just seen a little piece on them on "Countryfile" on the BBC yesterday.

    Glad you all enjoyed them.
The bulbs are not pure G. nivalis, but no one is prepared to put a name to them. They were here when we moved in and are probably about 80 years old. We have spread them out a lot to make the wood more of carpet.
Yes it is Helleborus foetidus, but there are also clumps of H. hybridus, Crocus thommasinianus, Cyclamen hederifolium, Eranthis hyemalis, Wood anemones and Arum maculatum in there too. I would love to get Erythroniums, Trilliums and Arisaema in there as well, but they do not seem to like it.
By the way, the soil is a mixture of leaf mould, scrap metal, broken glass and brick rubble.
