When I woke up this morning at 7, I was disappointed the snow hadnt started yet. Checked news, they said storm had slowed down by 2-3 hours, but would still get us. By the time I left the house at 7:30, it was snowing pretty good. Roads were still decent, did 55mph (speed limit!) all the way to work. Store opened at 9 as usual. Had less than 10 customers total, all pairs or family groups. Got a call from the district manager about 10 telling us to close shop at 11, we were all happy haha. On the drive home, the roads were so snowy I was down to 35mph. Im so thankful for 4 wheel drive and new tires!

On a normal day you can see the bridge that takes you from 37 to 69

Beej likes going outside, always supervised, but he decided it was too cold and Angel (dog) was out there :)

Bless your district manager for being so sensible and sending y'all home early.
Please stay safe and warm--especially Beej!

Thank goodness your manager was keeping an eye on the weather. Allowing staff to go home before things worsen is what more companies should do.
Stay warm and take care if you have to venture out.

We (me, mom and Bob) shoveled the driveway this evening. What a mess. The road had been plowed and moms car was about buried, so we dug her out. And the snow is the wet kind great for packing snowballs (hence the snowman ;) ) Theres a new layer of snow now, but its nowhere near as bad as it was. Ill take pics tomorrow of the mountains on either side of the driveway now haha

That's a lot of snow Bip. Doesn't seem to look like it is bothering Beej though :p

That's great that your boss was smart enough to send the workers home! It's a snow day here for my kids today, and people were told not to drive if they didn't have to.

Last night we were on a Red advisory for travel and now were on Orange, although I think my boss at my 2nd job is gonna make me go in (its only a 10 minutes drive though). Just hoping I dont get ticketed for being out there :/ Temp is -13ºF according to my computer *shiver* We've got a fire going in the fireplace.

Ouch, both snow and freezing cold at the same time is no fun at all. I'm glad you got home safe. Stay warm.
