My 1000 + snowdrops are opening all over the garden. Here is one patch that hasn't been too storm damaged.
Wow I wont some of those.I love them. You say they are snowdrops but do you know the name we might call them?I want to try to plant some.Beautiful little plants Eileen.
They are such cheerful little things, aren't they? I'm glad to see that the gales have spared them, Eileen. They are commonly called Snowdrops here in N.Carolina, too (Galanthus nivalis).
We had them in Michigan and called them snowdrops. I have not had any since I've been here. Love to see them coming up what with all the horribleness you have gone thru. Hope they gave you a smile.
Gorgeous Eileen, a taste that spring is in the air maybe? I keep trying to grow them in my garden, but I think it is constantly to wet. I will have to order some more in the green and plant them on gravel. The bluebells you sent me are all up and growing like mad. I love this time of year!
Mine are not blooming yet. I so look forward to my bulbs blooming each year. The rabbits have been eating the greens of my Dutch iris. I'm bit annoyed at them. muddy
In a neighborhood I work a lady has a massive amount of snowdrops in a side garden. They are very delicate and bring cheer as people walk by this side of the house.
