Philip you have far more than I have still flowering. My marigolds have died right back after the severe frosts and most other blooms are now a thing of the past. I do still have my roses in the front garden but everything else is gone for this year.

It just amazes me of how many blooms you have practically year-round.

Hard frost got all mine this week. Going to start ripping it all out this afternoon. Between all the leaves and the dead plants my back yard looks awful. Spring can't come fast enough.

Hi Eileen,..true enough i still have lots of blooms and apart from one night of light frost everything is still healthy,..when most of my Delphiniums stopped blooming in the end of summer i cut them back,..all bar a few that looked about to bloom again and they surely did that was a first for me and they are still blooming as of this morning,..however like you i am looking forward to next Spring,..only about 9 weeks to go,.. "the 1st of Feb which is our Traditional start of Spring".

Hi Netty and Donna,..sorry to read that the frost has hit you,..yes its a sad looking state when all your blooms are past,..now its looking back through photographs and planning for next Spring.

Hi Cheryl,..our weather may throw lots of rain and mists at us but the cold is not too extreme and doesn't last very long plus my garden is very enclosed,..i picked a lucky spot to live in.
