This isn't a joke, just a funny from my daughter last night. My DH asked what I was making for supper and after I told him my DD muttered "if you were making soap he would think that sounded delicious." We have chuckled and chuckled at this since last night.
heh heh heh....That's a good one. It sounds like your man knows what a good cook you are. But that dry remark of your daughter is priceless.
Actually it goes to show how easy going my DH is. He never complains about what is (or isn't) for supper.
My family had a long-standing tradition of washing out with soap any mouth that said a naughty word. For a minute there I thought someone in the Kieper family was blowing bubbles! Your daughter has a dry, but very funny, sense of humor.
Here too, Jane. It was so funny that I had to share it. I also mentioned to Kevin later that I just can't stand it when he is blowing bubbles at the supper table, so I refrain from serving soap!
Tja! I never make THAT mistake either. I mean your posting of Sat Feb 01, 2014 1:55 pm. Blowing bubbles?? Like with a straw in a milkshake?
S, Around here as a child...if you say bad things or sass your parents (especially your mother) you are likely to get your mouth washed out with soap..."that'll learn ya real quick" what is inappropriate or bad, but if you "eat" enough soap you'll make a lot of spit bubbles from the soap... GROSS! But if you are referring to the last post I made it was just said as humor to Kevin...not that we actually blow any bubbles at the table.
Hahaha...I get it, S. Thanks for making it all clear to me. Washing the mouth out with soap--Yukkers!
