Beautiful colours Philip. Is that your dog peeping out from behind the tree? It's probably wondering why you were holding up the walk
Lovely Philip!! I enjoy kicking and crunching through all the autumn leaves when there's a hard frost. (OK I know - I haven't really grown up yet. ) It's been a lovely autumn this year and the colours of the leaves have been amazing. Thanks for sharing your walk with us.
We really don't get much in the way of fall colors. :'( So I'm always happy to see other's photos. I was waiting to see Molly playing in a big pile of leaves. :-D
Dear Philip Nulty. We had Autumn a long time ago and, I might add, was not such a nice one. Yours is very beautiful. I am so glad you shared yours with us. Nice shots......
Thanks Kildale,.. Autumn colours are stunning so many shades of brown and yellow and reds,..not forgetting the black boxes,..i am told the first this side of the pond to house Bats. ( photo / image / picture from Philip Nulty's Garden ) =================================================== Hi Kiasmum,..well spotted,..that is Molly,..she likes to keep me in sight. =================================================== Hi Droopy,..but for all the Autumn colour we would be in a bad way with the loss of nearly all our garden blooms until Spring,..maybe Autumn is a softening up,..reducing the impact of Winter. =================================================== Hi Eileen,..join the Club,..i too like the kicking of leaves be they frosty or not its the sound they make,..Molly seems happy sniffing around as well. ( photo / image / picture from Philip Nulty's Garden ) ( photo / image / picture from Philip Nulty's Garden ) ================================================== Hi Netty,..oops that means you are well into winter,..we only had one night of frost and since then just rain and wind but mild enough. ================================================== Hi Cheryl,..ah by coincidence i just posted a Molly in the leaves shot,..sniffing and grinning but not many leaves where we stopped,..amazing you don't get much of fall colours. ================================================== Hi Barb,..so your Autumn has long gone as well,..even though we are officially into Winter Fall/Autumn is still here,..and lol a touch of Summer. =================================================== ( photo / image / picture from Philip Nulty's Garden )
Stunning foto's, mate. It looks like things over here at the moment...when the sun shines, that is. I just had to go back and look at your foto's again.
Thanks Sjoerd, some more pictures of that Nature Walk and some of the trees with Autumn colours,..there are trees from 50 to 170 years old,..Norway Maple,..Cockspur Thorn,..Red Oak,..Common Lime which can produce as much as much nectar an acre of clover,..Austrian Pine,..European Larch and Wych Elm. Thank you! As Cheryl noted, central Texas isn't exactly a hot-spot for fall foliage. However, thanks to your great photos, we get to enjoy color anyway! I must admit, my favorite photos are the ones with Molly in them. I don't think I've ever seen a happier dog!
Thank you Jane,..i can see you are a "Molly" fan ,..she surely is a very happy dog and shows it between a constant tail wagging and that goofy grin . Where ever we live we always seem to be drawn to where others live be it for the foliage or blooms or weather,..now Texas would appeal to me even without it being a hot spot for fall foliage,..for a start less rain,..humans nearly go rusty here,..not forgetting all the ails that wet and damp weather bring .
Hi Cheryl,..thank you,..she runs ahead of me and stops for permission to enter the water,..nothing as bad as taking home a wet dog and trying to prevent her from shaking herself before i can grab a bath towel.
