I recently wrote to SC Johnson about the packaging of their air freshener. Now it is a "mist" rather than a "spray" and you can't tell how much you are using until the aroma is overpowering. I received a reply within hours saying that I wasn't the first to mention a dislike of the "mist" and they were returning to the original spray. They actually listen to consumers, rather than imposing their ideas of what we want on us!
I also wrote to Nestle, praising their DiGiorno frozen pizzas. Since the local chain pizza place will prepare a pizza for you if they feel like it and have nothing better to do, we gave up on ordering pizza. If it weren't for the frozen pizzas, we'd be without a quick and easy lunch or dinner. I received a quick reply with a very nice "thank you for your comments" and was told there were coupons coming in the mail. Corporations/companies do listen, but only if we talk to them!

How nice it is to hear of companies that really listen to their customers. If only every one were as considerate as SC Johnson the world would be a better place by far.

I can't recall the last time I had a pizza that wasn't a DiGiorno's. I like my food hot... right off the stove/oven. And the nearest pizza place is about 10 miles away. So that's why I like them (besides they taste pretty good). It never occurred to me to thank the company. I think I'll just do that.
    Thanks Jane.

Twenty five years ago, I bought and installed an iron circular stairway to go from the utility room to the basement. Have had no problem with it until recently. The hand rail is vynil and is held to the uprights with toggle bolts. Two of the bolts have broken. I sent an email to the company and got a call from them yesterday. They are sending me a half doz. of the bolts for free! Now that's customer service!

I wrote a letter to the company that makes the cat food I was serving my girls. The food has different shaped pieces and they absolutely would not eat one certain shaped piece. I think it was supposed to be the grain tasting one. We always thought it was so funny that they always left those in their dishes.
Anyway, I received a very prompt, courteous letter from them thanking me for my comments. They also were amused by my cat's refusal to eat that particular shaped food. Also sent a bunch of great coupons.
