It was wet and rainy so not everyone was there but here are a few pictures. Besides being a model for Aprons, Rick has a stand at the market and also runs the show. Those are mustard greens on his stand. Art has various vegetables on his stand. Our stand I think that's all of the pictures. dooley
I love farmer's markets. Some friends and I went to our local market this past weekend, and it was so cold and windy that we didn't last long. The vendors were all wearing winter parkas, gloves, boots and still had red noses. Only a week or two left before they call it quits here...glad I already bought my pumpkin!
We haven't got farmer's markets here, and I do wish we had. It looks like fun, and a nice day out too.
I hope the rain didn't keep the customers away Dooley. Your apron looks great on Rick - bet he was chuffed to bits with it. I love farmers markets but they're not as interesting as the ones you go to as ours only have food and nothing else.
Thanks for this very nice visit to the Farmers' mkt. It's easy to get a feel fo how it is there. Lots of veg and so forth for sale, I see. Your stand must be the most colourful though. Were you able to sell some aprons and tote bags?
I have sold a few things. There is a mushroom festival in town this weekend so we're hoping we'll get a few strays from that down our way. Rick put up some flyers saying that we are open and we are on a highway that leads to the festival so, maybe. I've been trying to build up a stock of things and have worked daily this week on it. dooley
Goodluck Dooley -- here's to lots of traffic at your market. I'll bet the halloween bags will go fastest this week.
