I accompanied Mimi to see her horses one day recently, and took some pictures. The barn is pretty dark, and my flash is just the one that pops up on top of the camera, and is not very powerful. So to get the pictures brighter, especially the backgrounds, I slowed the shutter speed. With the shutter speed slow, sometimes movement of the subject or the camera causes some blurry looking pictures. Unfortunately, some of the following fall into that category. Hopefully you will find them interesting.

Oh those blankets look nice and warm!! I wonder just how long they'll stay clean though? When I used to ride every time a new blanket was put on a horse it would roll around in the mud. Before long the blanket looked dreadful and you'd never have guessed it was brand new. :D :D

The horses are lovely, and the blankets too. Keeping horse blankets clean is as futile a job as weeding in my opinion. :D No matter how often they're cleaned, they still look grubby after a short while. Is that shoing in progress in the back there? *peering hard*

That's a good eye Droopy, you are so right, you must be a horse person, to spot the farrier in the background.
Thanks everyone for the comments, That's Gwen, the riding horse, in the blue blanket, and Dahlila, the brood mare, and mother of our 2 foals, in the maroon blanket.
