I haven't posted pics in a while. I guess the heat makes me ... lazy ???
Plus... my garden doesn't look like it used to, couple months back :(

    Anyway... here it goes!

    Scadoxus (in pot)
    [IMG] [IMG]

    Ornithogalum saundersiae
    [IMG] [IMG]

    Clerodendron bungei
    [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

    Hibiscus moscheutos (hardy hibiscus)
Looks like I am gonna have seeds... after I scolded them for dropping their blooms.
    [IMG] [IMG]

Passiflora caerulea - can't believe it! Setting fruit!

Well the flowers in your garden are certainly looking good to me!! I've never had a Passiflora caerulea set fruit before.

All those flowers look great. It was good news to hear that you may be getting some seeds from your Hibiscus moscheuto.

Mine is still quite small and has no bloom buds to see yet.

The Clerodendron bungei is certainly a beautiful plant. Love the foliage color.

    Calin...
Love the color on the first one (Scadoxus). I have a Clerodendron bungei also (growing in a pot). It is blooming for the 3rd time this year. I'm going to try to find a good place to plant it so it can spread out some.
So glad that you'll be getting seeds from your Hibiscus... sometimes a good scolding will do good things! :-o
And fruit on your Passion Vine?! Great! Mine are flowering like crazy but haven't seen a sign of fruit. At least now I know what it should look like.

Looks like your plants loved the heat you are having whether you did or not because they are producing beautiful blooms.

My Passion flower isn't even thinking about producing buds much less blooming. I have always wanted one to produce fruit, good job.

    THANK YOU ALL !!! :)
I just found Clerodendron trichotomum in a park, and guess what... I took about 5 saplings.
I hope I don't end up regretting planting them in my garden.
The C. bungei is invasive enough as it is!
    :)

Calin.... is that the one that smells like peanut butter when you crumple the leaves?

Well I can't tell if it's peanut butter but it does hold a strong odour in the leaves :)
Why do you ask? Trying to ID yours? I can also say the leaves are dark pink or sour-cherry color when they start. Not green.

Calin, I asked about the peanut butter scent because I've made friends with the owner of a resale shop and he showed me his Clerodendron trichotomum and how the crumpled leaves did smell like peanut butter. I actually came here to get it properly ID'd for him. And Toni mentioned that there was another plant (that I can't recall right now) that smelled like jelly! I suggested he get that one also. wouldn't it be a neat thing to have peanut butter & jelly in the garden? ;)

LOL... you must be kidding :)
Well, mine, the bungei, smells nothing like jelly. then it must be peanut butter.
    :)

I'm serious. Maybe Toni can remember the name of that other plant. If not, I'll check my notepad when I get home. I'm sure I wrote it down.
