We really don't have much in the way of gardens, you all have such gorgeous ones! But here is a bit!

I do not remember the name of this stunner!

This is from 2 years ago, the koi pond structure (the Living Jewels) still stands but will be a veggie garden next year. The water garden is in the forefront and has no fish in it. The koi pond had no plants.

The reason we no longer have koi.

I was hooked from the first photo! Gorgeous water lilies and ponds... and the view is awesome! Reminds me of a friends place between Albuquerque and Santa Fe.

Beautiful! That 3rd bloom IS a stunner.
You have a lovely property, too bad the bears stopped you from having Koi.

Critters and fish ponds do go together :-| I've had to put an electric fence around mine because of raccoon, great blue herons and possums. In town we don't see bear..thank goodness. Very lovely water garden. Hopefully the bear won't raid your veggies next year. Great photo of the bear.

    Wow! Your pond's beautiful!

The blue one looks like a true lotus, not a water lily. Wish I had one of those.

Oh I love your lily pond!! The blue flower looks like a lotus blossom to me too and goes beautifully with your water lilies. You have spectacular views over the surrounding countryside. What a pity though the bear is going to stop you keeping Koi.
Many thanks for sharing you garden with us all. :-D

I simply don't recall which of the trops that blue lily is, but no, definitely not a lotus. I'll have to dig out my Slocum book.

We think a bear, tho perhaps not this one, ate the koi. They were family and we could hand feed them. We just don't want to go thru that again. I so miss the koi world! We didn't show our fish but enjoyed going to koi shows all over the country and I was a candidate for koi health advisor status.

Beautiful pics Lynn. Would love to have a koi pond also, but critters would be a problem here to.

Beautiful pictures,Lynn. I never thought about bears eating Koi.Course no bears, here.Guess an electric fence wouldn't stop a hungry bear.Don't blame you for nor providing more food for them.
