Since I have not had a chance to finish any current projects lately, I thought I would share some older projects from long ago.

I made my wedding gown for my second marriage, and it turned out nicely. The dress is lace, and the slip is satin. When my kids saw the lace dress, and it is see through, they about popped. My boys asked me, MOM, WHAT are going to wear UNDER that dress???? They were nearly panicked. I reassured them that the satin slip would cover all of my important parts and no one would see anything they should not see. They were very relieved. There are pin tucks up the front, and on the sleeves, and around the skirt. I had to use French seams for the lace and satin also. I made a similar dress in pink taffeta for my matron of honor.

My kids wanted to play superheros when they were young, so I took an old white bedsheet and dyed it red and made them capes so they could play superheroes. They are not fancy, but the kids enjoyed them a lot.

What a lovely wedding dress!! Gosh you are so clever to have made it all yourself. I would love to see another photograph of you wearing it. :-D

I will look and see if I have one in here someplace.

I had one that I could scan into my computer. I ought to have more pictures, but am not finding them.

My groom wore a baby blue tux which looked fantastic with his red hair and blue eyes.

Thank you! It hardly seems like that was almost 28 years ago.

It is very old fashioned looking. :) I keep it in my cedar chest.
