Took the kids to Hyde Hall today. A local RHS garden which is just around the corner from our house. It was their choice, and I wasn't going to argue. Of course, we had the camera, so I thought I would share a few of the days snapshots.

I just love that your kids are interested in taking pictures of flowers and such. The lighting on these pics is really special.

Awwww! That's the M. stellata, isn't it? It's sooo beautiful and I have to make room for her, and a couple of others too.

The hellebore's very dark, isn't it? Wonder which one it is. And that rhododendron, is it Blue Tit or one of the other small, blue ones?

And hurry up with the rest of the photos, please. We've got some snow in the air today and I need the colour.

The azalia had little flowers, but no label. There were staff relabelling, so I might be able to enlighten you another time. It looked a touch scruffy, but the flowers were so pretty.

Did you stroke it, EJ? Our blue-flowering rhododendron has aromatic foliage and is ever so pretty. :D

Another big "Awwww!" from me. :D Trillium blooms are so showy. I love those pond stairs. Very "Ariel-like". Are those Brunnera the "Jack Frost"? Stunning foliage. We've got that Erythronium. At least my mother's got it, and we're making room for it this spring.

These are great. I liked the Trillium and forget-me-nots. What a nice place that Hyde Hall must be to visit.

I always think they are forget me nots, but Droopy is correct. They have a lot of them and they are very pretty, and I always mean to get some, but always forget. I LOVE the trilliums and have tried and tried to get them to grow in my garden, but they always give up the ghost on year 2. :(
