It seems like the flowers are showstoppers anytime in your garden! I do have a garlic question....is it edible, or just a pretty flower?

    Thank you all.
Philip.... I'm not too far inland from Anahauc Bay... so I boat-raid is possible, as long as you're prepared to dredge through our swamps (with gators, snakes, skeeters. :)

Thanks Deanna and Theodoros (and everyone else).
You all inspire me... or entice me... to check out different plants.
    Yep.... you all are enablers!

What a lovely selection you have there. The gingers are stunning-are they flowers you can get by planting fresh ginger root? I'd give it a go if it could be done.

I'm not familiar with the Angel's trumpets but they certainly have a wow factor :D

On this side of the pond Shrimp plants are firmly in the houseplant category

    Thank you Kiasmum.
I don't think these were starting from fresh ginger.
The original planting of the Butterfly Ginger came from my great aunt, she gave some to my aunt and now I have some of it. It's by the front door and the scent is heavenly.
And a co-worker gave me the Red Ginger, she bought it from the big nursery here.
So... if you have some ginger... give it a try who knows?

This is my first time growing the Shrimp plant. It's still in a container so will get protected over the winter. But it's going in the ground in the spring. I've seen them grow really well in this area.
