Before panorama from last summer. Ivy covered thirty foot Douglas fir trees lined the back. This last week two of the fir trees came down. Now we can see the neighbors house. Still have huge trees east (sequoia, birch) and west (Douglas fir) but have some southern sunshine also. It will be interesting to see how things change. I am thinking foxgloves are going to love it along the property line where only the ivy could survive before.
Wow...I hope the Hostas don't get too burned from the sun. I had the hardest time with hostas at the last house so I took them out. I only had morning sun but it still browned them all up and they looked terrible. At the house before that house we had a lot of shade and they grew and looked great....I hope our next home has more shade so we can have them again...
What a difference! I think the Hosta's will be fine as long as you keep them moist. That looks like a lovely place to sit for a rest
Gosh your garden looks so BIG now and it's such a lovely open space without those trees blocking your view. You must be so thrilled with the amount of light you have now too. I'm looking forward to seeing the changes your garden will go through now that it has more sunshine to contend with.
What a difference that makes. Like Cayu...I think it will be interesting to see how the remaining plants react.
