Lordy Zigs, we are trying to renovate/remodel a small bathroom. We sure could use you and your hammer! Are you going to rebuild, reshape, or just have fun wielding that hammer?
Well Max, you have begun a nice, little project there. Give us some backstory though. Like what prompted you to do this. What are you going to turn it into now? Can you re-use the wood? Will you use poly again, or will you make an alu-framed glass house. I am curious to see what you have instore.
Ta good people We've got a cunning plan to put a shed there to keep all the stuff in that's presently getting in the way in the other shed that we're trying to work on Still need half the greenhouse for the tomatoes at the moment.
Today we ordered the new shed. It's going to be 28ft long and 10ft wide, with double doors at one end and a row of 4 fixed windows at the other. We need to be able to house two tractor mowers and two battery mowers in there to start with, plus about a million tools and garden implements, and then there's all the solar gear The tomatoes have been moved to the potting shed. If I hadn't been a little bit strict with Lord Awful there would never have been space enough for a shed - the cactus plants are taking over like triffids. I like sheds
The shed is scheduled for October (these things take time) Zigs has some materials being delivered tomorrow, so the making of the base will keep him out of mischief (hopefully) for a while. This needs to be done with care, (using mathematical implements totally beyond my brain capacity ) as the base needs to be exactly one inch smaller than the finished building all round - the bottom panel overlapping the base to a nice tight fit - all to do with levels and angles Let us pray ...... I have to say I am a bit sad to see the last of the greenhouse. It used to be one of four - all 30' x 10' for my propagating business. The old concrete base used to be for the heat mat and misting system with smaller inside tunnel to create lots of lovely humidity. I used to propagate shrubs, trees and grasses.
I thought about trying to save the last section but it would have fallen apart if we'd tried to move it
I laughed too loud at your first posting here! Looking forward to seeing what your hammer work will turn into.
Tetters got us a bigger mixer Dpm will go on top of that layer then I got to bring the floor up level with the top of the shuttering It has to be exactly 27' 10'' by 9' 10'' to take the new shed
