Hi. A one off just for fun this. The Snail was on a clear glass window when I took the pic. Somehow I know not how - the background has become to look like a starry night sky and it is sailing across it. I love it and thought the following caption would be suitable. You work it out.

    SNAILS PACE.

    SNAIL SPACE.

Hi Eileen. Glad you like it - it tickled me. Speaking of Snails our local "Wood Snails" are as big as golfballs. They all or at least all that I find in my garden are brilliant fliers - as far as I can chuck them out into the woods. Always a soft landing for them mind into the leafmould. Do send the pic.
    Syd.

That picture is worth framing! You have a very good eye to see things a lot of us would just glance at and forget.

Hi Eileen - 2fs. Glad you like the Snail pic - I am always on the lookout for anything interesting to take. That particular type of Snail although quite small (shells about threequarter inch across) have very voracious appetites but their camouflage is not that good so can be easily seen - before "lift off". A little story. Pal of mine years ago (like all of
us?) very much anti Snail and yet did not wish to harm them. Collected them and took them out into the fields - as he said quite rightly they are bird feed especially liked by Thrushes.
He was convinced that they did actually come back and so put a spot of white paint on some shells before their "walk" to try and check this out. Claimed some did came back but...?
