Nice photos, although I think the last one is not Rowan Berry but a Vibernum.

I do like wild flowers and you've managed to capture quite a few interesting ones Philip. I have a section of my garden which contains lots of native plants to attract butterflies and bees.

    Hi folks,
glad you enjoyed the wild flowers!,..finding them is easy enough but finding the correct name,..oh boy!,..here are some Ferns and fern like plants,..by coincidence Ferns is the picture of the week on the link Kildale has,..if anyone can throw some light on the Fern names not added i would be grateful.

These are all in my garden.

Nice wildflower fotos, Philip. I especially liked the Succisa pratensis.
Are the islands easy to get to to visit?
    Yes, quite nice fotos indeed.

Those photos of the wildflowers and your ferns are truly lovely! We have Horsemint, which closely resembles your Water mint.
Since ferns struggle outdoors here in Texas, I appreciate seeing your beauties. Japanese Sword fern is managing to stay alive, but just barely. I hate to see plants suffer!

    Hi Sjoerd,
from my house to where i berth my boat is only 5 minutes drive,..then from the river Shannon to Lough Ree takes approx another 5 minutes,..then you come across the first of the many islands,..some very small,..some huge,..knowing there is nobody other than myself on the island is a nice feeling.

    Hi Jane,
likewise i hate seeing plants suffer,..i will take one home to nourish it and give it a good home,..when i know a tractor and harrow is taking place,..its rescue something for the garden time,..and so i have ferns.

I think we all envy those with warmer climates like yourself,..and imagine what we could grow that would certainly not survive here,..but we tend to forget the dry weather.
