I wonder who planted all those weed seeds in my yard. They are in the lawn, the flower beds and the gardens. I pull them out or cut them off and before I know it they are all back again. I could start at one end of the property and work my way around and get all finished just in time to start over again. There seem to be a lot more of them this year and I think I will blame it on those birds that I feed each day. Most are cardinals with a few others mixed in with them. I have a few blue jays, some doves, some mocking birds and a cowbird or two. I see a sparrow every now and then. There aren't too many small birds. I bought a smaller bird feeder and a plant hanger to put in the back yard. Maybe the smaller birds can eat out there. Then, the back yard could be full of weeds, too. Today, I pulled all the big weeds and grass out of the flower bed at the end of the house. Next will be the back yard garden. Then, the front yard garden and so it goes. But, I'd sure like to know who plants them all. Sneaky little imps! Maybe gnomes! dooley
Ah hahaha! I think someone is planting Canadian Thistle in my yard! Nasty buggers pop up and are a foot tall before I realize theyre even there >:/
Before my hubby tilled the back veggie garden he mowed, with the lawn mower, all the weeds off. It sounded so funny when he came in and told me that. It was massive weed...
Someone has been sprinkling weed seeds all over my garden too. Now if I could only catch the culprit in action.
Well then, it must be the gnomes! We'll let Frank take care of them. He knows a lot about gnomes. dooley
I think it is our fine feathered friends bringing all those seeds home from their winter travels... I love my birdies, but I do wish they would leave the foreign seeds in vacation land.
Oh dear....well, if it's any consolation Dooley--I am up to my knees in weeds here as well. Good luck with those green monsters.
Here in Texas everything that you don't want to grow, grows. You have to keep removing things like that so what you want to keep has room. Today, we finished the driveway area and cut scrubby brush. Tomorrow, I will cut some more. Maybe someday it will get tired of always having to start over and just lie down and die. dooley
