http://www.geocities.com/helmetliner/ The owner of a local yarn shop told me about her church ladies making these and I finally found the website with all the info. If knitting or crocheting is not your thing, there is the neck cooler that is sewn. And they need contributions to cover shipping costs. And even tho this is country specific, I am sure that troops from other countries who are on duty away from home could use them too.
WW I I Knitting for Victory Scarfs Are you the person who discussed this project? Are they still accepting scarfs?
Hi Denise, Welcome to the Stew. Why not post an intro of yourself http://www.gardenstew.com/viewforum.php?f=29 We would love to hear about you, you family, your garden and we love pictures too. Collecting the scarves is an ongoing project. Their first deadline was Dec 11, but the FAQ page notes that they will accept them anytime and send them to the veterans. http://www.nationalww2museum.org/education/faq.html
