As a kid I had many suppers of fried bologna when Mom and Dad had smothered liver. We didn't have Velveeta though, it was too expensive.

No, Eileen, you don't need to broaden your culinary horizons.
We don't have any Hardee's around here. Thank heavens.

We had a Hardee's one place where we lived but didn't frequent it. I had fried bologna when I was a kid but haven't thought of it in a long time.

My Mom used to make me toasted bologna and relish sandwiches for lunch when I was a kid! I loved them, but hadnt had one for years. I put bologna on my shopping list this week, after I made my homemade relish :)

I do make fried bologna at home, nothing fancy just chop the ring into pieces and fry it. A good meal when you don't have time. I positively hate velveeta because we had it so much as I was growing up. I don't think I have had it since I left home when I was 18. At Hardees the only thing I eat is the Hot Ham & Cheese because I love ham so much.

I do grind a ring of bologna and pickles up too...we don't have it often but it is soooooo good :-D I am going to take some bologna out of the freezer right now to make some later.
