I am really trying to be organised this year. Time is my enemy and work, family, life in general seems to get in the way of my sowing plans for the allotment. It is always a panic and I am always disappointed that I didn't sow more varieties of plants. So this year, I have been sowing in ernest....perhaps a little tooo ernest.

These were taken last weekend so things have moved about a bit, and have been added to during the week, but as you can see, I have a plantation of tomato, squash and pepper plants in the warm conservatory, a mix of beans, brassicas and salads in the cool greenhouse, and hardy beetroots, leeks, spring onions and spinach in the chilly garden.

I shall have to update you with the latest movements and sowings.

Ahhhh....those pictures are so good to see. Your conservatory looks like mt living room, bed room and dressing room.

Your plantation looks very orderly and tidy. Speaking of toms, I really must plant mine on.

Did I say the plantlets looked good? :)

I'm way behind you EJ as I've only planted tomatoes, lettuce, some herbs and peppers so far. I really must get going and sow some more over the next week. I do have a few fruit bush cuttings that I took last year that are looking good and that will, hopefully, produce for me this year.

To be honest Sjoerd, I fear I got very carried away. The first batch of toms I sowed all germinated really quickly and are already sizeable plants. But the second batch were real slow at coming up and are only just showing their true leaves now. Of course, I had given up hope of the second lot germinating, so sowed some more, and of course, they all came up at the same time as the others. I will sell some at our local charity plant sale at the start of May, and will give my mum a couple....but all being well, I will have enough toms to see me right through the winter.

Oh my--well, I do hope that you can find a home for them all. Better too many than too few.

EJ, there are nurseries with worse-looking plants than yours! You have an impressive array of really healthy transplants there.
Let us know when you get them planted.
Wish I could be at your charity plant sale!

Looking good EJ! I have great plans for my veggie garden this year too, but it is still far too wet to start.

    Thanks everyone.

Danjenson, our local nurserys and garden centres give those trays away as the plants they have delivered arrive in them, and they are left with stacks of them. They are very handy indeed.

    Thanks Ej.

Reckon I might try a few stores this summer see if they are giving them away.
