Spider ID please

    So, I was cleaning out my moms shed. Im going along, sweeping cobwebs off the walls, when I look on the far side of a stud and...OMG BIG SCARY SPIDER!! *insert girly squeal* So of course I had to take pics of it...and I was ready to haul a** if it so much as twitched a leg in my direction!

    My phone's camera doesnt take very clear pics, sorry... From front to back (including legs) it was about 4 inches long. The body itself was about 1.5" long. Big spider!

    It looks like some species of Wolf Spider.

    We have some like that up at the cabin. I'd swear they have stared at me, and waited for me to look away to hide. Spooky smart I'd say. Yours is quite impressive. Will be interesting to hear what their scientific name is...we just call them wolf spiders here too.

    Yep looks like a wolf spider to me too. We don't get them quite soooo big though which is a blessing.

    Whoaa.... (shivers). That's huge. Spiders don't usually bother me but that guy might have. I guess he's been living out there undisturbed for a while...

    yay...the bf told me a story about being bitten on his back by a Wolf Spider...the bite area became huge and swollen with pus *shudder*
