Spider Lily?

    This flower only blooms 2 to 3 days.
    Is it a spider lily?

    Hiya G!zMo.[​IMG] Yup, yours is one of several plants in the Amaryllis family
    that go by the common name "Spider Lily".
    It is a Hymenocallis, and I think that yours may be H. occidentalis.

    One of my favorites, we call them swamp lilies. When Richard and I were first married he went crawfishing on the railroad tracks in back of the house and brought me home a bouquet of these. It was the first flowers he ever gave me. Awwwwwww, the little things that made us happy back then. Thanks for the memory.
