The ice is off the lake Things are coming to life Pulmonaria The first Daff's to bloom Rockcress I stopped in at work and these greeted me: Hyacinth Tulip Magnolia
You've got the loveliest lake there. That fern is incredably spring green, and the flowers are so pretty. I love that magnolia, which is it?
Oh Netty those daffs of yours are gorgeous. :-D Do you know their name by any chance as I'd love to add them to my collection? I bet those hyacinths smell fantastic. The blue and pink look really good together. Mine are just beginning to open now.
Sorry Droopy, but I don't know what kind of Magnolia that is. I was hoping a stewbie would be able to tell me! And the Daff's were dug out of the yard of an abandoned farmhouse years ago so I don't know their name either! Sorry!
Netty, I'm wondering about it being the M. sieboldii, but I can't see the flower center. Besides, it has less petals I think. I want a white magnolia, and the choices are either stellata or sieboldii.
What a lovely group of pictures. I couls just look at them all night. A good variety too! Thank you so much for showing these wonderful flowers.
Wow Netty, I do like your flowers better then mine. Although we've had spring for a few weeks, I still don't have any of my daffs blooming yet but it does look like I may have a tulip blooming any day. I do like the color of your daffs. Your hyacinths are looking very pretty together.
Great pics Netty. I love them all. And that magnolia...it's beautiful. Mine isn't ready yet, but I can see buds and they are coming.
Wow Netty,,, Don't you just love Spring! Its so awesome with all the life and color. Enjoy it all. I wouldn't know where to start first with all that beauty. Thank you for the color explosion!
Isn't spring grand. There is nothing more fragrant to me than hyacinths. I would have one to greet me every morning if I could. Thanks for the pics.
