We too have had an unusual winter. It is warmer, sunnier, and drier than whatever-normal-is. Someone stole our rainy, wet weather and shipped it East with a pinch of frigid. Here are a few flowers, and the only certainty in life appears to be change. Who knows what will be next, but the moment is spectacular.

So, Soooo pretty. Could you tell me what the 3rd picture is of? It had white flowers so close together they look like a waterfall! Also what is the last pink shrub?

2ofus, Both are pieris japonica, the first is the common white and the last is "Valley Valentine". There are also some with varigated leaves or pinkish flowers, all with the same habits and flower draping. A common name is Lily of the Valley bush.

Eileen, it is fun to see spring, but it is so early and the days aren't long enough yet to throughly enjoy the changing season. Wish I had more time to be playing in the dirt. Did get a few wayward raspberries gathered for transplanting and moved another phlox to the back of a bed. Need to spend a day pulling buttercups. So much to do, so little energy:sleeping:
