Today it is going to be 72, but the thermometer says it's already 84 in the sun. I put these plants outside to enjoy some of the sun. When dr stopped to smell the hyacinth he almost smelled a bee. They are buzzing all around them. They sure do smell good. Dooley

I had him take a picture of the lavender that I bought last week at Trader Joe's. It's sitting with the heather that I bought at Trader Joe's before Christmas. There is also the kalenchoe that I got for Thanksgiving. The lavender is getting a bigger pot today. I bought some planting mix at the Dollar Store this morning. Dooley

Be careful with the soil from the dollar store! We bought some for our office plants and it was FULL of little black flies :smt120 We are still trying to get rid of them!!!

I think Hyacinth smell so sweet. I have a grape colored one but it is buried under the snow. I think next year I will spend January and February in Arizona someplace. Wannabe

It certainly does look like spring at your place Dooley. Not quite that nice here yet but it is sunny and warmer than it has been -- not much longer. Your hyacinth is so pretty and I'm sure it smells just as nice.

[IMG] Oooo, Netty!!! Have a cup of cocoa, and keep warm.

Pretty, pretty plants, Dooley. I can nearly smell those hyacinths from here.
I've had terrible luck with lavender, but *knocking wood*
it looks like the one I grew last year is making it through the winter (so far)
I hope it survives, I love the stuff, but it doesn't seem to love me. [IMG]

Hyacinths are my husbands favorite - ours will be awhile yet so thanks for sharing. Our view is more like Netty's than yours.
